Digi-Data Corporation was founded in 1960 in Columbia, Maryland, and is an innovator and developer of performance archival solutions, provider of IP Communication products, and pioneer in the emerging data vaulting business. In the 1960s, Digi-Data delivered over 50,000 tape systems through OEM relationships with Compaq, HP and Data General. Shifting the focus to disk technologies, Digi-Data produced its first SCSI RAID controller for initial shipments in 1992. It incorporated five key patents with RAID technology to form the basis for the STORM (Storage On Redundant Modules) architecture serving large corporate data centers.

DIGI-DATA STORAGE SERVICES (DDSS)
DDSS designs and manufactures the most flexible storage solutions available that can scale larger than any other single storage system, up to 840 drives or 630TB per cluster. A single system can connect as a SAN, NAS, iSCSI or all three and delivers high throughput for the most demanding content delivery applications. With numerous storage utilities like power management, these products deliver strong value for the price.

DIGI-DATA VAULTING SERVICES (DDVS)
Digi-Data acquired bigVAULT in February, 2005 based on the natural synergy between the T-2000 clustered controller system and the (massive) capacity and unfailing availability required by online vaulting applications. The DDSS division provides online backup and file sharing products (as branded offerings) through large telecommunications and broadband suppliers. With a powerful set of document sharing and collaboration features, this service has been successful with corporate program managers and power-users alike.

Digi-Data Connect excels at providing all aspects of IP networking — data and voice, wireless and wireline, infrastructure and applications.
